Viewed from any angle, the decision regarding Ousmane Demebel's future at Barcelona is a very simple one to take. A decision which would have taken a long time ago, even a school kid could have realized that. It appears that's a huge task for FC Barcelona management!

FC Barcelona continues to suprime us all! The ability to create newsworthy items out of rather Innocuous daily affairs surprises us all. The ability of Barcelona management to shoot itself on its foot is jaw-dropping. There is no explanation for this incredible phenomenon.

We are not talking about the earth-shattering news of Messi's departure or Griezmann's departure or Xavi's arrival. Instead what surprises is the ongoing saga of Ousmane Dembele's renewal at Barcelona. There is one logical decision regarding his renewal - his exit, something the Club failed to see the whole time!

With the January transfer window fast approaching, many club chairmen and head of recruitment will be looking at their squads, to see which positions need adding to. It can be a difficult time to find players at a reasonable price, but those who are desperate to improve their form will happily pay whatever is necessary, to make sure they get the players they require.

Just as each match has its own set of odds, once a transfer rumour is announced, many soccer fans will look for the betting odds to see how likely it is that a player's transfer will actually happen.

FC Barcelona will be competing in Europe’s second club competition for the first time in 17 years in February, following the humiliating exit from the Champions League group stage earlier this season.

The Blaugrana needed a miracle in their final group game to progress to the knockout stages of the continent’s premier club competition, but barely fired a shot in anger against Bayern Munich and were dumped out by a second 3-0 loss to the German champions.

For many years, soccer fans have enjoyed the thrills and excitements that La Liga has to offer. In the last few seasons alone, we have seen Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona win the league, each with very strong sides who looked like they would go on to dominate for some time. Thankfully, soccer isn’t that predictable, with all of these sides having experienced dips in form.

Barcelona are in one right now, having started the season very poorly. They are now on their winter break, and soccer bettors will be taking time to evaluate the Catalan’s sides odds in their coming fixtures in January.

Just one win in December! And with 3: 2 against Kellerkind Elche, they were actually quite happy. Hardly any club in the Primera División in Spain longed for the winter break as much as FC Barcelona. The "returnees" and a few new signings are now hoping for a good start into the new year.

It was already clear to everyone in the summer that after the fundamental upheaval at FC Barcelona (including Messi's departure!) this season, it was hardly a question of playing for the championship.

It has been a tough year for Barcelona – on and off the pitch. But the season is only halfway through, so what can the Camp Nou fans expect from 2022?

It has not been a good year at Barcelona

Barcelona’s (Realistic) Hopes for 2022

It is fair to say that 2021 will not go down as one that Barcelona fans look back fondly on. There has been chaos and farce behind the scenes – and the performances at the Camp Nou have not always been that much different.

We lost possibly the greatest player there has ever been due to internal and financial problems - and have recently crashed out of the Champions League at the group stage for the first time in nearly 20 years. We could be forgiven for thinking that this season should be written off. But there is still half of it to go – and there are still trophies to be won.

We are realistic here though. So read on to find out what can be expected from Barca in 2022 – and why the odds at the Vegas betting sites may well be worth a closer look.

With Xavi at helm, we have seen enough reason for hopes. But the fear still lingers around the background with the team collapsing towards the end of every match. This won't be an easy task for Xavi, and the good news is that Xavi acknowledges the same.

Barcelona moved to the 7th spot in the La Liga ranking with a 3-1 victory over Villareal. Many could be fooled thinking that the match was one-sided or at least an easy affair looking at the scoreline. Nothing could be far from the truth! Barcelona was pretty lucky to escape with three points at the end of the match.

Barcelona's new coach, Xavi Hernandez didn't hide the fact that the team got lucky last match. He also acknowledged that times will be tough and these tough times will decide Barcelona's season this season. He was happy seeing the results of the hard work that they put in the training. Even though the results were not fully satisfactory.

Lionel Messi pipped Lewandowski to win the 2021 Ballon d'Or, his 7th Ballon d'Or overall. Messi managed this feat on the back of a great triumph in the Copa America Tournament.

Barcelona Legend and Ex-Barcelona Player, Lionel Messi secured the 2021 Ballon d'Or ahead of Robert Lewandowski. In the voting, Lionel Messi secured 613 points, 33 points ahead of second-placed Lewandowski who secured 580 points. Lionel Messi's crowning comes at the back of this summer's Copa America triumph where he was a Champion, Highest Goal Scorer and Highest Assist creator.

Alexia Putellas Wins Women's Ballon D'Or

For FC Barcelona, the Ballon D'Or has arrived once again at Camp Nou. This time it's our Femini Captain Alexia Putellas who brought the Award to our home. As everyone expected, Alexia Putellas won the Woman's Ballon D'Or award for 2021. This was not any surprise after she lead Barcelona to a treble last season and now continues destroying any team which gets in front of them.

With the failure to win against Benfica, Barcelona now needs a positive result in Allianz Arena, and that may be not enough!

In the end, Barcelona has to be considered extremely lucky to be still alive in the competition, even though that hope is more or less extinguished the moment you look into the next match. Benfica, who were the second-best team for the majority of the match had a great chance to secure their passage at the end. One has to wonder whether they have to pay a huge price for that miss.

Barcelona's hopes very much lies in the hope that Dinamo Kiev will be able to win against Benfica away from home. Barcelona's last match of the group is against Bayern Munich away from home. Getting a point from that itself is going to be very tough, but Barcelona will be hoping to prevent a massacre in the first place.

It is safe to say that Barcelona FC are having a bad time as of late, but all is not lost for them just yet. Find out more here.

Heading into the November international break, Barcelona sit in ninth spot in the table, 11 points behind Real Sociedad, who are surprisingly sitting at the top of the table, having just lost the one game all season.

They are also 11 points behind Real Madrid and Sevilla, and six points behind Atletico Madrid in 4th spot.

In the end, there was no anger or bitterness of defeat. Fans have so much accustomed to disaster under Koeman, the 2-1 defeat at our own home felt like a colourless affair.

There was no discovery at the end of ninety minutes, just a rediscovery of the new normal. If there was no discovery, the realization part continued. The realization of how big was Messi's impact at Barcelona, especially at these last few seasons!

There were bright spots, definitely with the kids, Aguero goal and overall effort from Depay. One was left to wonder what would have happened if we had Messi also starting from the right.

While they still fall under the ‘must-watch’ teams when it comes to watching football on tv, Barcelona have had a poor start to their season will be desperate to establish some consistency over the next four games. Ronald Koeman's men avoided defeat to Granada at Camp Nou at the buzzer last time out as Ronald Araujo's 90th-minute equaliser cancelled out Domingos Duarte's second-minute deadlock-breaker.

While the Catalans remain unbeaten in La Liga after four matches, they have cast doubt on their ability to compete for Champions League glory with a dismal showing against Bayern Munich in their Group E opener. The next few games could prove decisive for Koeman's future in Cataluyna as we take a look at Barcelona's four upcoming fixtures.

After a torrid summer, highlighted by Lionel Messi's heartbreaking farewell, Barcelona have a point to prove this season and convince the public that they can win titles without their long-serving stalwart.

Messi played a prominent role in helping the Catalans establish a long-term dominance of Spanish football and grow into one of Europe's fiercest sides. However, as Sports Today covered in extensive detail over the summer, the legend is no longer with Barca.

Sep 21, 2021

The one thing Barcelona fans should take comfort with the performance against Granada is the scoreline. The rest of all was atrocious, especially what Koeman is doing to this side.

What did we witness last night at the revered Camp Nou! The Cathedral of 'Tiki-Taka' witnessed an atrocious performance on its pitch, which would have left the earlier generations shell shocked. The fact that Barcelona ended the match with Pique and Luke De Jong as the centre forward paints the reality at Barcelona.

Barcelona should consider themselves lucky to have garnered a point out of this match. We may have created more chances, but none of them was clear cut by the usual Barcelona standard. Ironically, Ronald Araujo scored the equaliser, he was the only player who looked like scoring a goal in the whole match.

Bayern bossed Barcelona on the Camp Nou pitch like they were taking an evening stroll. Barcelona came well short of putting up a fight. Whether they were interested?

The final whistle came with a huge sigh of relief for many fans including myself. There was a sense of relief that this result was somewhat justifiable to ourselves. This wasn't a humiliation, and Bayern didn't have that many chances also.

In all this, we also validate an unpleasant truth which we all knew beforehand but was not willing to accept. This match showcased the gap between FC Barcelona and other superpower clubs in Europe. We are technically a mid-table team in Europe. Bayern played in second gear for most of the game, shifted momentarily to third gear to score the goals and went back. It was a stroll in the park.

Barcelona meets the German Champions for the first time after that horrible 8-2 losses. This time Lionel Messi won't be there, last time even that wasn't much of a help!

Let's be honest, if there has been a time not to face the German Champions, that could be this. Some would say, playing them early is a good option. However, I have a completely different opinion about it. Playing Bayern Munich when we are not sure about our best eleven is quite scary. And to make matters worse, many are out of this encounter and many may have fitness issues.

If the odds we see the in the Official OlyBet website paints a realistic picture, we should be pretty happy with anything other than an absolute mauling. Maybe it may turn out to be to our advantage. After all, when the expectations are less, Barcelona is not expected to put up a show. Instead, they could try to grind out the match and at least score an upset!

The speculation of Lione Messi leaving Barcelona in search of a new challenge became a reality during this transfer window. The talismanic Argentinian eventually departed the Nou Camp for Paris St Germain.

The move signaled the end of a glittering career for Messi at Barcelona. He left the Catalan club with 10 La Liga winners medals, seven Copa Del Rey titles and four Champions Leagues spanning nearly 800 appearances.

The French striker joins his former club in a deal which is currently marked as a loan, but in effect is a transfer as there is an obligatory buy clause in the next summer. Does it indicate Atletci will be letting go of Saurex next summer?

There was a bit of bewilderment when I heard first of the deal involving the loaning out of Griezmann to Atletico Madrid by FC Barcelona. With the mandatory buy clause inserted, this was in effect a transfer camouflaged as a loan deal. But once you take to digest the news, slowly things will start to fall in place.

The biggest concern for me was why Atletic was agreeing to this deal? The fact that we will be strengthening Atletico ( who for the first time in history have become the favourite to retain their La Liga title ) never bothered me. Such is the mess we are in financially. Atletico will be paying his full salary, that's the only thing that mattered.

By awarding Jorginho as the best player in Europe, UEFA has made a mockery of the Best Player Award they award annually. They got it all wrong with the definition of the awards.

So as per UEFA, the Best Player in the whole of Europe in the last season was Jorginho! Yup, try to get your brain to accept that nonsense. Who would have thought we will be witnessing such a disaster class from UEFA!

But then honestly, UEFA's awards have become some kind of joke for some time. At least at the Women's section, it was given to well-deserving players. I am not supporting that because they were all given to FC Barcelona Femeni players, but because they were all given to the best players.

Once the dust settles down, we all will realize that Lionel Messi was sacrificed by Laporta for the chance to participate in the European Super League. Something which has become 'Dead on Arrival'. What does Perez have on Laporta which makes him a virtual slave?

It appears nothing has truly changed in Barcelona. The unceremonious exit of Lionel Messi, or more aptly put failure to sign him shows that the club is still managed by the same incompetent team. The spin masters at Barcelona haven't left, they just changed their loyalty to the master.

More the details emerge out in the upcoming days, the spin masters at Barcelona will struggle to hide the truth from plain sight. Their attempt to put the entire blame on La Liga and Tebas has already started to unfurl badly.

I offered to reduce my contract by 50% and they asked for nothing else. A lot of what people are saying is not true. We did everything we could and it wasn’t possible.

Announcing the end of an Era at Barcelona, his time at Barcelona, Lionel Messi couldn't hold back the tears. Lionel Messi, the Greatest Player in the history of FC Barcelona broke down throughout the farewell speech. The entire episode was a confirmation of what we knew beforehand - Lionel Messi was shocked and devastated by the Club's announcement.

It was an emotional ride for not only the player and his family but for the millions of fans who suffered throughout the press conference. It's not easy to witness your idol break down in front of you like this.

Aug 7, 2021

This is no way to handle the exit of the Greatest Player who featured for Barcelona. But then coming to Messi, the Club has got a lot wrong than right in recent years.

Barcelona fans across the Globe is slowly coming to terms with the ultimate reality which was thrown at their face on Thursday night. We have been all going through the five stages of acceptance - denial, anger, depression, bargaining, and acceptance. I am pretty sure I am endlessly stuck in a loop that takes me back to denial and then whole up to bargaining. Like many of us, I am hoping for a miracle that says that this was done to only put pressure on Tebas, but Messi will stay!

The way it was broken felt like a classic play on poker table. This looked absolutely like a move to put pressure on Tebas to allow leverage with the salary cap. Everyone o thought that. That was the reason not even a single team raised an attempt of signing Messi. That all changed with Laporta's press conference.

Aug 4, 2021

Barcelona have made some remarkably high-profile, and equally as remarkably cheap, signings this summer. Memphis Depay and Sergio Agüero are the big names joining the attack, both for free, but alarmingly, the area that needed the most attention was the defence.

The only new addition that could help in this regard is former Manchester City centre-back Eric García. Still, as detailed in this The Athletic piece, he only played 35 games for City and is still only 20-years-old. While certainly a talented prospect, the Spaniard isn’t the upgrade that Barça’s stats would suggest they need.

Naturally, finalising a new deal for Lionel Messi and getting finances in order is the priority for the club, but should attention be turned to reinforcing the backline?

If you believe the papers, FC Barcelona is in the midst of a nasty crisis. The wage bill is too high, there’s no money for transfers, and the club’s reputation is in tatters after the Super League revelations. Fans of one of the biggest brands in world football have certainly had happier days when the trifecta that was Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, and Leo Messi controlled the sport.

Still, the idea that Barca is in turmoil is a little farfetched. Yes, money is a problem at the moment, yet the good news is that every cloud has a silver lining.

The Salary Cap was introduced to make sure that no Clubs in the League is living beyond its living means. But has La Liga made a huge mistake in insisting on it in a Pandemic time?

Barcelona is indeed in a crisis! Some of it's making and other due to the ongoing pandemic. The salary cap which has been imposed on Barcelona is the death blow to Barcelona's ambition to remain as Europe's Powerhouse. Without any doubt, it was this necessity that forced Laporta to accept the European Super League concept.

Barcelona's wage cap was €671 million before the pandemic. Last year it was reduced to €348 which we naturally went over. This year we need to reduce further the wage bill as the cap has been reduced further.

Barcelona Fans are agitated that Atletico Madrid is not properly evaluating Griezmann. My simple question to these fools will be - WHY SHOULD THEY?

If there is a fan base that is slowly becoming the synonym of fools, it has to be the Barcelona fan base. The kind of garbage the bunch of fools are ready to swallow baffles even the dumbest person on Earth. Count me out of it!

In my last post, I wrote why the Cules should not get excited much about the Griezmann and Saul deal. Now I feel like a brilliant oracle as the deal is currently rumoured to be off. It still may go on, but the chances of it failing is much higher than success.

Jul 20, 2021

Lionel Messi has provided Barcelona with a massive boost by committing his future to the club and taking a significant pay cut to ease their financial woes. The Argentine was out of contract at the end of June, and Barca’s financial issues left his tenure at Camp Nou in doubt. However, Messi agreed to take a 50% reduction on his contract to secure a five-year deal with the Catalonian club.

Barca is undergoing a rebuild of their squad due to their problems off the field. Junior Firpo, Jean-Clair Todibo, and Matheus Fernandes have all been allowed to leave in a desperate bid to balance the books, while further departures are to be expected. Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia, and Memphis Depay have all been added to the squad on free transfers, highlighting how prudent Barca has become in the transfer market.

Jul 15, 2021

From what point this deal to swap Griezmann and Saul brings any benefit to Atletico Madrid is beyond common sense. The only one who needs this deal is FC Barcelona, not Atletico Madrid nor Griezmann. Is this some kind of SCAM/FRAUD?

"With Barcelona, Everything is Possible". That literally ought to be our club's motto. At least we should replace our great motto with this during the transfer window. Deals which makes you head spin with amazement, deal which makes you wonder whether the other party is governed by fools; those are absolute normalcy at Barcelona during a transfer Window.

We had the endless rumours of how we were going to sign Neymar, actually, he always was on a private jet back to Barcelona. Then there was the always present Lautaro Martinez deal. Hopefully, everyone has sweet memories of the done deal to sign Georginio Wijnaldum. Then how many others, I have lost count. The latest entrant is the Griezmann - Saul swap deal between FC Barcelona and Atletico.

Futbol Club Barcelona have been attracting supporters, setting records and winning trophies for more than a hundred years. Established in 1899, the Spanish football team survived political turmoil, civil war, occupation and numerous other challenges to be the world-class contender they are today.

Together with long-time rivals Real Madrid, they’re one of the most successful European clubs, consistently performing well in the continent’s top five football leagues.

For Football fans of Barcelona, it has been quite a disappointing season with Barcelona Men's football team struggling to come third in the League. Normal clubs will be thrilled after winning the King's Cup, but for a Club like Barcelona, the failure of the other tournaments dampens that spirit. That's the consequence of having enormous success in the past and also have the World's Best Player in the ranks.

In all this doom, it would be criminal for us to ignore the success of the two other department of Barcelona's Sporting Fraternity - The Men's Basket Ball Team and the Women's Football Team. They made sure that we had enough to celebrate at the end of the season if one can look past 'Messi and Boys'.

Jun 15, 2021

As Lionel Messi said in his post-match press-bite, they would have loved to start the opening match with a victory but still it's not a bad result. A draw against Chile in the opener of the Tournament is a good result, considering that you gifted the equalizing goal to your opponent.

Lionel Messi produced a brilliant piece of magic just after the half-an-hour mark to give Argentina a deserving lead. Argentina should be disappointed after wasting a lot of chances, especially Nicolas Gonzalez, who wasted a lot of chances. In a very tight match against an organised Chilean defence, Argentina could only manage to convert one of their many shots on target. That would be something to work out for Messi and boys.

As things stand, the 'European Super League' experiment is very much alive. Only three of the founding members are still in it, but against everyone's expectation, they continue to remain steadfast on the idea.

Maybe a change of tone is in offing, but still, these three Clubs, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Juventus remains committed to the idea. Gone are those arrogant announcement and the disastrous press appearance by Perez, now there is an attempt to play the victim card. They seldom realize that the ship has sailed away from the port.

For many years now, Barcelona have been at the top of La Liga, and, over their years of success, academy products have been vital in providing a youthful vigour that has put them on top of the footballing pyramid, However, they have, in part, experienced a drought of talent within the last few years, choosing instead to arguably waste money on signings such as Andre Gomes and Martin Brathwaite. At the same time though, La Masia has begun to take more of a front seat, and it could be the academy once again that brings Barca some success.

Barcelona shook off the surprising mid-week defeat with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Valencia at the Mestella. Lionel Messi scored twice and Griezman once to secure Barcelona a vital three points. This victory keeps us on the hunt for the title.

How would the Supporters of the European Super League react if tomorrow Government decide to adopt a similar strategy (if they haven't already). Will they support the rich appropriating most of the resources of a nation? Maybe they will, provided they can feel benefitted!

This is a rant piece against those staunch supporters of the European Super League, who cannot see anything other than their club and its future. They technically don't care about what happens to other clubs, the nations footballing structure. They live in a bubble where they worry about only one thing, the profit statement of their club. Even if your club makes colossal stupid financial decisions that put them in a dire situation!

These clubs are like those blood-sucking parasites who feed on the poor and average joe. Even a club like FC Barcelona, who are found on the principle of 'More than a Club', couldn't resist this move. That proves that 'Power Corrupts, Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely.

Apr 20, 2021

Cryuff would be turning over in his grave with the recently announced plan of Barcelona and another 11 clubs to form a European Super League. The idea itself runs against the core belief which the Club has held dearly over the years. Is there anyone who could get Barcelona out of this Self-Destructing path?

In one stroke of the pen, Barcelona once again erased everything they ever stood for in its amazing history of all these years. Those beliefs and ideals saw their Club presidents being tortured, their fan base ridiculed and also all those unfair treatments from the ones with power and money. It was as if none of them matter, if anything genuinely was left out of that motto 'Mès Que un club', then it was the time to erase that too. It was unfortunately the time of the European Super League.

For all those fans, who genuinely believed that Barcelona will at least attempt to get back to its roots after Laporta victory, the hopes were mercilessly squashed. Laporta who before the election preached against the concept of Super League, joyfully accepted and dragged Barcelona into the messy setup. This is not the Barcelona we Know.

Apr 9, 2021

Even though Antoinne Griezmann is one of the premier strikers in the World, his ideal place in this Barcelona setup could be on the bench. Here are the reasons why!

The 'El Clasico' is all upon us, with the match taking place tomorrow at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium in Madrid. Barcelona will be looking to get even with Real Madrid, after losing the first Clasico of the La Liga season 3-1- at home.

Contrary to the earlier encounter in the season, Barcelona looks in really good shape. It is safe to say that Barcelona is the inform team in Spain, cutting the lead at the top to just one point. The performance has been so good that there are talks of a 'Domestic Double' on the horizon. That was something that could not even appear in our wildest dreams earlier.

Ousmane Demebele emerged as the hero of a night, which could turn out to be the most pivotal night in Barcelona's 2020-21 season. It was a late 90th minute strike by Ousmane Demebele which gave Barcelona a deserved and precious 1-0 victory against Real Valladolid. This win is crucial as the League leaders Atletico Madrid lost a day before. This victory closes the ap between Barcelona and Atlectico to mere one point, a far-cry from the 10 point difference we had some 8 games ago.

FC Barcelona produced one of the most sensational performance of this season last night, in a stadium where they normally struggle to dominate. FC Barcelona closed the gap between Atletico Madrid and themselves to mere four points with a victory over Huesca. Barcelona were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening following a double-leg defeat to French champions PSG. The damage was done in the opening game at the Camp Nou where the Parisians hammered Ronald Koeman’s men 4-1 to the disbelief of fans watching around the world.

Barca were one of the pre-tournament favourites with many leading soccer to be crowned kings of Europe for the sixth time but that wait rumbles on. It has been six long years since FCB last claimed the top prize in European football. Hardly a drought but for fans accustomed to glory, it will feel like an age.

Barcelona did the unthinkable, staged a dramatic fightback which saw them secure the Cop Del Rey final spot. Once again Barcelona fans could dream of silverware, something which was unthinkable a week back.

Unbelievable has been this week, if you happened to be a Barcelona fan, maybe better a Messi fan. The week started with 'Music to the Ears' news of Bartomeu getting arrested, and that too for setting up a campaign to smear the players and their families. If he had walked unhurt from the 'BarcaGate' scandal, fans would have simply given up on the hope of a God or 'The Ultimate Truth'.

As it stands, the scoundrel was charged and taken to prison temporarily, Barcelona kind of kept their League alive, maybe by a shoestring, but alive it is! And now Barcelona against all odds produced another master class to secure a place in the final, against all beliefs!

Barcelona's 2-0 victory over Sevilla on Saturday reignited the visitor's hopes to clinch the La Liga title. Lionel Messi and Ousman Dembele reignited Barca's hopes with their two goals, putting them only two points behind leader's Atletico Madrid. Currently, Atletico has one games in hand. Even though they won against Villareal this weekend, they have been a bit wobbly lately..

Barcelona's hope seemed very dim a few weeks ago, but their victory in their nine games out of 10 La Liga games raised their hopes. Keep in mind that Athletico Madrid is set to compete against Real Madrid coming weekend, presenting an excellent soccer betting opportunity at Betway.

FC Barcelona produced another Remontada, this time against Sevilla in the second leg of Copa del Rey semi-final. Goals from Dembele, Pique and Braithwaite secured Barcelona a 3-0 victory, which takes them to the final of Copa del Rey. This one is a significant result considering the issues the team is having.

Enjoy the highlights video from the Match below. This one is one to treasure for each Barcelona fans.

This was billed as the moment Barcelona gets back into the La Liga title race by the Catalan media, but alas like we have seen the umpteenth time. They screwed it all. Barcelona may have dominated in all aspects, but then that's a testimony of how bad Cadiz was. This time maybe it's for Good.

Short story first, Atletico Madrid gave Barcelona and Real Madrid a chance to get back into the league title race and as expected the current reigning champions took that with open arms. For the team from Barcelona, they managed to once again shoot themselves on their foot, drawing 1-1- against Cadiz at home.

Barcelona were lethargic, complacent, uninspiring and hurtful to watch yesterday. To be honest, Real Madrid weren't great either, but they most importantly managed to get away with three points after another horrendous performance. They were being just classic 'Real Madrid'.

Feb 17, 2021

By the end of the night, there were no feeling of being hurt. When something becomes routine and expected, people get adjusted to that. The hopes were all ended in the first few minutes.

Barcelona suffered yet another humiliating defeat at Camp Nou going down 4-1 to a KMbappe inspired PSG. KMbappe scored a hat-trick, which many believe indicate a change of guard in World of Football. Honestly, I believe last night's performance doesn't prove KMbappe's greatness, but only a testimony of how bad this Barcelona side is.

By the end of the night, there was no feeling of being hurt. When something becomes routine and expected, people get adjusted to that. The hopes were all ended in the first few minutes. Midway through the match we were going through the motions and were worried about how it will all end in Paris. Luckily there is no hope left for you to be worried about!

Despite Bartomeu's attempt to distance himself from the leaking of Messi's contract to El Mundo journalist, everyone knows that he and Tusquets are behind it. The Catalan People don't want Messi around and it may be time for Messi to move away from Barcelona, the Club and the City.

Lionel Messi did what he does the best, answer his critics on the pitch. So it was natural to see Messi making the statement with a brilliant free kick on the Camp Nou pitch. That free-kick was some kind of a legend's stuff, there was one person lying on the ground, a fully packed wall, and a man on the line; in case he breaches all those defences. Breach he did, he had to.

But the build-up to the game was some of the toughest he had to face so far this season. He was hurt more or less about the manner in which the leak was made and the way it was portrayed, rather than the leak itself. Even though Barcelona let go of this Super Cup from the jaws of victory, one have to agree that it doesn't come as a huge surprise. What surprised us was that Barcelona was winning the Trophy with just a minute to go. They didn't deserve that!

Barcelona's Super Cup Defeat was not a Surprise, Considering Koeman's Tactic

In the end, there was that familiar heartbreak story that we (Barcelona Fans) were all so accustomed to now. It has to go this way. Barcelona just simply can't go and lose, they need to build up hope and then shatter it is the unkindest fashion. This time that came via Jordi Alba ducking! Why Jordi, WHY?

A day is a good measure to sink this feeling in and use the objective side of your brain if one has one! Yesterday, it was all about rage on Alba and his stupidity, which grabbed defeat from the jaws of triumph. But today with the rage settling in, one has concluded that Barcelona deserved to lose this more than winning it.

Now we wonder whether the hope which got rekindled at the start of New Year was a genuine false-hope. Most of the bookmakers like Meta.reviews still expect us to make the top four, but if this final is a testimony, Barcelona may have to work hard to make them true!
