Barcelona's 2-0 victory over Sevilla on Saturday reignited the visitor's hopes to clinch the La Liga title. Lionel Messi and Ousman Dembele reignited Barca's hopes with their two goals, putting them only two points behind leader's Atletico Madrid. Currently, Atletico has one games in hand. Even though they won against Villareal this weekend, they have been a bit wobbly lately..

Barcelona's hope seemed very dim a few weeks ago, but their victory in their nine games out of 10 La Liga games raised their hopes. Keep in mind that Athletico Madrid is set to compete against Real Madrid coming weekend, presenting an excellent soccer betting opportunity at Betway.

According to Gerald Pique, they have been at rock bottom in terms of their La Liga performance, but it is their time to rise again. He continued to state that they are very confident about the team in the title race.

Sevilla started the league in high gear, winning six consecutive games - five of those being clean sheets. They were also second best at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, a dominant performance from Barcelona, exposing them still as slightly short of Spain's top three.

Barcelona's win against Sevilla was well-deserved, but the anticipation of the match of the two teams was very high. Fans are also eagerly waiting for the second-leg clash on Wednesday at the Copa del Rey stadium, with soccer betting odds already available at Betway. Barcelona is looking forward to overturning the 2 – 0 deficit at Camp Nou, with Pedri and Ronald Araujo's presence in the match in doubt. The two were substituted in the second half of the game due to injuries.

According to Ronald Koeman, though the game is challenging, they are looking forward to bouncing back. All they have to do is to play a perfect match and create chances. Koeman stated that they would stick with the formation of the 3-5-2 system, which saw Jordi Alba and Sergio Dest playing as wingbacks ahead of a back three and Dembele deployed up front alongside Messi.

With Antonie Griezmann, who was benched, Koeman sacrificed some creativity in the third quarter of the game to control the midfield. For the best part of the game, Sevilla had been fighting hard to escape Barcelona's wrath whereby Julen brought in some new pair of legs in the halftime and even switched the formation to match their opponents.

Barca was in control of the game, whereby Frenkie de Jong and Pedri took charge of the midfield while Dembele continued with his usual attack. Alba and Dest did not advance according to the expectations of Koeman. Although the few teams did not create enough chances, Barcelona's counter-attack enabled them to take the lead.

The teamwork between Messi, and Dembele made the team take the lead. The introduction of the fresh new pair of legs by Lopegtegui was to counter Barcelona's formation. Alba missed the short in the goal from De Jong's assist, Dest hit the post, and Messi missed another brilliant chance when Dembele passed the ball over the ball. Sevilla had few chances, which Lionel Messi stopped six minutes to the end of the game.
