Despite the not-so-great way of his tranfer from the club; the Club, Fans and the Player himself is keen on the transfer back to Barcelona.

It was billed as the great betrayal - Neymar's exit from Barcelona. It left the club completely in shatters. I still remember how we felt lifeless for the major part of the season in 2017-18. It was not the highest profile exit from the club, that title will go to Luis Figo. But this left a bit of bitter taste.

What made it so difficult to digest was the way it transpired. After many of teammates, especially Pique re-assuring fans that Neymar won't leave; out of the blue, it happened. The reasons were clear, but still, the way it happened, made it difficult for fans to digest those reasons.

Gerard Pique has been the corner stone of Barcelona's defense for some time. But is his presence actually destabilizing Barcelona? Should Barcelona look past him?

Gerard Pique has been the cornerstone of Barcelona's defense for some time. His performance in most of the matches this season showed how important he is to the team. Maybe we have lost the count of the number of times Pique has saved us with that last minute tackle or the crucial interventions.

Pique is the closest we have as a leader in the pack. Messi might be the captain, but Pique is the one players look up to in times of a crisis. And that's been his problem also, in the spectacular debacles of recent times, Pique remained a mere spectator. Is it time to seek a replacement for him? In this artcile, I will detail the reasons why Barcelona should look to replace Pique.

Massimiliano Allegri, the Juventus coach is rumoured to be shortlisted as the next Barcelona coach. But it seems there are reservations among major players.

Valverde's future at Barcelona has been one of the hottest topics around Barcelona. After disappointing exits from Champions League and Copa del Rey, there is a huge cry for Valverde's sacking. The fans need him to be removed as early as possible, but the players and management have so far backed him.

But after the Copa del Rey final defeat against Valencia, it has become very difficult for the Board to defend his performance. Still, they are backing him and may go down together with him.

Some of the fans have started to seriously doubt whether Valverde and his Boss (Partner in Crime), Bartomeu is actually planted by the Club's enemies to destroy Barcelona's Legacy.

Most of us fans are one of the most blessed people in the history of FC Barcelona. We were lucky to witness Barca's 'Golden Generation' in action and also even more lucky to see an era of unparalleled success. Without a doubt, Barcelona redefined how Football was played in the past two decades.

But has that success gone to our head? We expect this team to win all the trophies in the season. is it a fair demand? Os it like some believes, there have been moles implanted in the Club to destroy Club's legacy from within. Bartomeu's and Valverde's action makes one think so!

Josep María Bartomeu, Barcelona Club President rebuked those fans who are angry with the Club and Management for the Anfield Collapse!

Josep Maria Bartomeu, the current incumbent in the President's throne at Barcelona have once again nacked the current Club Manager and the season's performance. In an event where he addressed the Oldest Season ticket holders and the club members, he played out to the gallery by calling the season an incredible season.

Quite surprising to hear Bartomeu having the courage to call a season, where we were treated and squashed like schoolboys in one of the biggest tournament in Europe. But then it doesn't come as a surprise?

Is the deal for Matthijs de Ligt is one the verge of Collapse. Insider reports suggest the chances of not happening is more as of now!

A couple of days before we were more or less certain about Matthijs de Ligt's arrival to Barcelona. Now if we are going by the latest news emerging, the entire move could be on the verge of collapse following unreasonable demands from the player and agent.

May 22, 2019

There were reports earlier on how Barcelona and Messi are very much interested in bringing the Frenchman to the Club. Is the recent statement from MBappe, a sign of the coming move?

With the season coming to an end we will be soon officially into the transfer season. And as expected a lot of news will trickle out as genuine transfer moves. To weed out the genuine news among these would be a herculean task in itself.

When I heard this for the first time, this rumour felt too good to be true. But when I looked deep in, then it felt a genuine move. Will this happen this summer?

May 21, 2019

The latest reportys emerging from England and Netherlands suggest, Barcelona is close to complete the signing of their high priority target Matthijs de Ligt very soon.

In my last article I wrote 'Why Barcelona should make De Ligt signing top Priority?', and within 24 hours of that going live, it appears things have turned decisively in favor of Barcelona. The latest reports emerging from England suggest that Liverpool may no longer be interested in securing the Dutch youngster's service.

That is good news for Barcelona as there is one less competition. Now Barcelona will try to lure him back as one of his suitors have dropped, but at the same time will use De Jong to bring the Dutch to Barcelona.

May 20, 2019

If Barcelona needs to strengthen their squad for Europe, they need to sign Matthijs de Ligt as early as possible. This is what he brings to a Club like Barcelona.

Matthijs de Ligt is one name which has been linked with Barcelona numerous time this season. Barcelona have very clearly made their intention of getting de Ligt in their books. The hestitation has been from the player's side. Many a ex-Barca, ex-Ajax players have sounded out Barcelona to go full throttle for the current Ajax Captain.

De Jong's signature was supposed to make it easier to sign him. Even though he and his agents have not ruled out the signing, we may see a bidding war which Barcelona, unfortunately, have to participate.

Even Though this appeared remote, now this could really happen. Barcelona has always made clear their ambition of luring their favorite son back to Barcelona. The Players, Fans and the Board are all waiting to see this happen.

When Guardiola arrived at Barcelona, he was a less know entity as a coach. But he was one player who could be talked as Mr.Barcelona. Laporta showcased his genius by bringing him up from the 'B' team. That too withstanding the pressure of one brigade which actually wanted Mourinho as the coach. just Imagine what would have Mourinho done to Messi, xavi and Iniesta? That was a close miss!

When he arrived for the first time, Barcelona was in kind of dire straits. We were trophyless in two seasons and had to suffer the humiliation of giving 'Pasillo' to their arch-rivals Real Madrid. Puyol later described that it wasn't something he liked but was a necessary gesture as a sportsman. That was our Captain, I still remember how he shouted at his players to the line-up and give Madrid that damn 'Guard of Honour'.

So Barcelona ended the La Liga season witha 2-2 draw away from home at Eibar. The inept leadership of Valverde was in full display in this match too.

May be it's too much to ask! Barcelona churned out another disappointing performance aagainst Eibar drawing their last match of the La Liag 2018-19 season. I know we have already been crowned Champions and that may have resulted in a relaxed attitude. But this wasn't a relaxed attitude at work, but another totally inept performance.

If you expected Barcelona to rise like a hurt lion after the 4-0 drubbing at Anfield, you were absolutely wrong. The following results have shown us that the 4-0 wasn't the aberration, but actually, the 3-0 at Camp Nou Was!.

With Board and Players backing Valverde, Barcelona fans have been praying for a pretty bad defeat in Copa Final to get the sack the manager.

Some times it is not that bad to wish for self harm, if it achieve the ultimate good for them. That's what's going on in many of Barcelona fans ind and hearts right now. especially after Bartomeu came out and made a statement of Valverde having the backing of the players and management.

With Bartomeu backing, Valverde will most probably remain at Barcelona for at least a year. That means we get one more chance to experience Barcelona getting humiliated in Europe. Now most of us don't want that to happen and will be paying dearly for his sacking without any delay.

With Bartomeu confirming the continuation of Valverde, Barcelona is looking for more humiliation in Europe. What is behind this sinister move, is it done to drive away non-catalan fans?

A 4-0 drubbing at the hads of Liverpool at Anfield constitutes a great season as per Barcelona's current President, Josep Maria Bartomeu. This happens to all clubs who are governed by mediocre people like ours. In any other scenario, even if he wants to retain Valverde, he would have put it in some polished way. But this guy has the audacity to call this season a 'magnificent season’

Just to remind us all, we did win the League courtesy of one guy and the main rival playing like shit. And we failed in spectacular fashion in Champions League, a competition which was the No.1 priority for the Club (maybe only the Club Captain). How badly we wish that Real Madrid somehow reached the final and win it! Had that the case, the reaction would have been different.

There is no doubt that Alba was one of the best performers in the season, but Is he a liability against Bigger European teams?

Jordi Alba's performance in this season has never been called into question! There was no need to be. If we try to rank the second best player of the side - he would have come on top hands down. His understanding with Lionel Messi was telepathic for most of the season barring the very end.

Many times we constantly cried for a similar guy on the right. That was his impact on the left side of the pitch. But one night at the Anfield, and here we are really questioning his future at Barcelona. Such was the disaster he endured against Liverpool - he dragged himself and his team along with him with his mistakes.

With the impending arrival of Griezemann, Barcelona board is planning to give Valverde one more chance. Is that the right move?

Antoine Griezmann's impending arrival at Barcelona is the hottest topic in footballing circles now. His signing is pretty much expected and will be completed in the first week of the transfer windo itself. Barcelona is expected to trigger the release clause, and Atletico also confirmed that the paleyr will leave.

The only thing to know is whether some club like Real Madrid or PSG intent to hijack the deal. As per the latest reports emerging from France and Madrid, the player has set his sight on joining Barcelona. He is eager to play alongside Lionel Messi and try to win that elusive Champions League.

May 15, 2019

Many of the players have starte to back valverde and want him as the Boss, but Lionel Messi should understand that it's a plot against him.

What drives a club's ambition going into a new season defines the future of that Club; at least in the short term! For Barcelona a season back, it was all about winning that elusive Champions League trophy, which evaded them after a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Rome. Interesting, that was the same city where Barcelona's Golden team's dream run started.

In a not so distant past, Barcelona was a not so feared opponent when it came to European competition. Before Ronaldinho inspired Barcelona defeated Arsenal in Paris, we only won that competition once. Since then we won it three more times, making a tally of five in total.

Barcelona may have got the prized catch which they were after for some time. Atletico Madrid striker, Antone Griezman is all set to sign for Barcelona soon at a staggering price of 125 Million Euros. Last Summer, Griezmann signed a five year deal with Atletico Madrid with a release clause of 125 Million Euros.

There were speculations then only, why he could join Barcelona next season and the contract extension was done to make sure that Atletico Madrid receives a fair price for the faith they had in him. Barcelona is expected to trigger the release clause.

I did warn you all that this would happen, Despite the repeat of last season's humiliating loss, Valverde has enough backing in the Board, Dressing Room, and Social Media

They all kept quiet for sometime, but then it was natural. If they had dared to even profess their love so soon for Valverde after the 4-0 defeat, they would have been obliterated in social media. So they all waited for that recovery victory against Getfe. And the moment, that is achieved, we now have a flurry of ValverdeStay cry.

I wrote about this two days back, detailing why those hoping for Valverde to leave is living in fool's paradise - Valverde to remain as Barcelona Coach. Sadly I am already being proven right.

The deabte of Messi as GOAT takes a different turn after the 4-0 humiliation by Liverpool. Is he still good to be considered as 'Greatest of All Time'?

Lionel Messi is rightly considered as one of the 'Greatest of All Time' to have played this beautiful game. But in the backdrop of another lackluster performance from his team and himself in Europe, do we need to re-think on considering him as one of the Greatest.

Before Ronaldo fans jump in, this is not a comparison between him and Ronaldo. It is a comparison of Messi to the greatest of the game - Pele, Maradona, Cryuff, Stefano, Platini, Beckenbauer, etc.

Despite all the heroics he has performed over the years, it may be time for Barcelona to make the toughest of decision regarding their Marquee player.

Barcelona Football Club is going through a crisis by it's own standards. The emphasize here is on 'Crisis by it's Standard'. In any othre club winning a domestic double would mean an extremely successful campaign, but not at Barcelona, especially this season.

If we win the Copa del Rey on 25th, how should we judge this season? Will it be considered a success or a failure based on Barca's humiliating Champions League exit?

May 12, 2019

All the indication coming out of Barcelona points to the possibility of Valverde continuing at helm at Barcelona, at least for one more year.

Ernesto Valverde has been receiving a fair share of stick from Barcelona fans, esepcially in the social media. The immediate reaction after the 4-0 at Anfield was a war cry to sack him. But situations have subsided now heavily and there seems to be a bit of calm in the club despite the social media going bunkers still!

There is a lot of people who believe that he will be fired by the club at the end of the season. But their wishes may not be granted and here is the reason why Valverde could remain as the manager, come next season.

Ivan Rakitic's Presence in the midfield of Barcelona, when it got overrun raises questions about the Croatians ability to control the game.

Ivan Rakitic is in the middle of the storm at Barcelona following the spectacular, but a humiliating loss at Anfield. To an extent, the fans are justified to raise fingers at the Croatian. He was literally 'Missing in Action' on the pitch of Anfield.

With him and Coutinho literally going invisible, Barcelona was reduced to a two-man midfield when the initial needs were for four men. Is there more to the presence of Rakitic in midfield and all those spectacular collapses in midfield?

Despite the historic blunders which have really hurt Barcelona, the President appears reluctant to fire the Manager, Valverde.

Lionell Messi would be the only person who could save this Barcelona side from the current predicament. A predicament which has been brought upon by the actions of an unimaginative, uninspiring, and an average Manager! Ernesto Valverde has proven in a second season in succession that he is not fit to hold the reins at Barcelona.

Like Arsene Wenger recently said, 'No Manager can win a game for their team, it's the players who have to do that. But he can lose the game for them'. Somehow it appears that Wenger had Valverde in mind when making such a historic footballing statement.

Barcelona should ideally look to reinforce their rooster following the pathetic showing at Anfield.

Barcelona managed to be the laughing stock of the entire footballing world with a spineless display at the Anfield. There have been far greater collapses in football history, but the way we collapsed made us the worst of all. The side which had the 'Best Player in the World' looked worse than a second division side.

No side other than us would have given up a sizeable lead like that, especially when the opposition was missing key players. The Manager takes the majority of the blame, but there is a sizeable amount of players who have to take the blame too. Maybe the time for them at the club is over.

Following the humiliating defeat at Anfield, there have to be some serious changes coming at Barcelona. The most important has to be the signing of players who could actually make a difference and provide Messi some respite at Barcelona. When Coutinho was signed it was done with that intention. But it never materialized!

There is a number of changes coming to Barcelona after this defeat. The future of Valverde is in serious question and now it needs to be seen who takes the reins. He cannot simply continue at the top now after spectacularly managing to destroy Barca's two title chances.

In a repeat of last season's Roma result, Barcelona was eliminated from UCL by Liverpool winning 4-0 on the night.

Barcelona managed to out do themselves! If last year we managed to throw away a healthy 4-1 lead, this season we did better of that. Liverpool did the unthinkable. They defeated Barcelona 4-0 to create a magical night at the Anfield and progress to their second consecutive Champions League final. Barcelona, like in Roma was left with feeling of dejection, but in this case the side felt like a poor sunday league outfit, unable to cope with the rigorous pressing from Liverpool.

Valverde's future definitely has to be in doubt after this result. Many of us felt that we should have thrown him out after Roma result. But there is no way he can survive this result. Hopefully so!

FC Barcelona squad for the travel to Anfield has been announced. Apart from the expected missing out of Dembele due to injury, there is no big surprise. Valverde has announced a 23 men squad for travel to Liverpool.

Check out the squad list below:

The 3-0 victory home gives Barcelona a comfortable platform to progress to the Final of Champions league, their ultimate goal of the season.

Barcelona Looking for a Solid Display at Anfield

At the start of the Season, Lionel Messi made it clear about what remains his and the club's first priority. It was the UEFA Champions League. He was categorical in his assessment about whether we could proceed yet another year without bringing the most coveted trophy in Europe home.

Now with a 3-0 victory in the first leg, Barcelona remains the firm favorite to reach yet another final. Despite the comfortable scoreline, which in the normal situation would have already secured the progress. But last year's Roma result hangs like a domiciles sword over Barca. That is the result which instills fear in Barcelona and hope in Liverpool.

May 2, 2019

In the end it all biled in to one factor, the brilliance of Lionel Messi. Barcelona remains the favorite to reach the Final after a 3-0 victory at Home.

Barcelona Football Club have taken a definitive step towards playing this season's Champions League Final with a 3-0 victory over Liverpool. In what was a tight match, the geniuses of botn Saurez and Lionel Messi emerged the difference maker. Messi's second, an astounding free kick was his 600th Goal for Barcelona in Club Competition.

To an extent, Liverpool may feel like undone by the scoreline. The 3-0 looked a bit unfair especially after they were the better side in the first half of the second half. But Barcelona adapted quickly and then Messi's Genius shone throughout.

Lionel Messi and Saurez gave Barcelona a valuable 3-0 victory, which has put them in a great position to play the Champions League final in Madrid. In a very tight match, Barcelona's attacking players quality proved crucial, with Messi scoring twice and Saurez scoring the opener.

Enjoy the highlights below:
