Just as critics began speculating on the downfall of FC Barcelona, a 2-0 victory over Juventus in the Champions League has now silenced the crowd. But can newly appointed head coach Ronald Koeman continue to keep his squad above board and hold onto the confidence they have earnt tonight?

We must understand the criticism towards Barcelona was more self-inflicted and at times has been unavoidable. When Lionel Messi announced his willingness to depart from his life-long club after their exit from the 2019/2020 Champions League had played out, and they had finished behind their rivals Real Madrid in domestic competition, these tensions organically reflected the team's on-pitch efforts.

Barcelona has made a perfect start to their European Campaign in contrast to their domestic campaign. Does that make them a genuine contender or is it just time before the 8-2 comes back to haunt?

The most astonishing fact from Barcelona's last night victory over Juventus is that their opponent did not manage to muster one shot on target. They did shoot ten times, but none were on target. Looking by Barcelona's away form in Europe, that's an astounding task.

Here they were visiting the reigning Italian Champions, a place where they never tasted victory before. And it was a complete shut-off. Had our players been a bit more effective in front of the goal, things could have got seriously embarrassing for the Italians. This victory marks Barcelona as an outside contender as per the latest sports betting odds.

Do the Catalan Giants have a realistic chance to win the league title this season? Or is it just plain obvious that they will struggle?

Hope re-kindles in strangest fashion, when you least expect! That was the feeling we got when we were hit with the rather positive news of Bartomeu resigning last night. Now that's a lot of rarity in one episode - first of all, the very fact that fans felt good regarding news about the Board, that's a true rarity.

The second has to be the realization that Bartomeu eventually got around the idea of resigning rather than throwing the Club into the deeper abyss with the impending 'Vote of Censure' process. Third would be the fact that after so long, we have finally got rid of 'The Unwanted One'. What is left to be seen is the state of affairs he has left! It would not be surprising if we start seeing things tumbling out of the closet now!

Ungrateful Barcelona fans have been questioning Messi's performance so far this season. If what we saw against Real Madrid is an indication, he is all set to kick these doubters behind in coming weeks!

Is Lionel Messi back to his Best?

The more you listen to those half-informed Barcelona fans and Messi doubters on Twitter, you get convinced with every single post that these fans don't deserve him. They can't even see the impact he brings into the team as they can't think straight anything other than some random stats.

So we are told that Messi had a poor night against Real Madrid as he once again failed to get into the goal-scoring chart. And to make matters worse, he was neither in those assist charts. One cannot argue with dim-witted fools because they don't understand the beautiful games. How can you make these fools understand that without Messi's ball there was no equalizer? What Fati and Alba did from then was a mere formality. But they never understand!

Ronald Koeman's tenure at Barcelona has got to a good start till Sevilla came calling. That match exposed a lot of fault lines in Barcelona's armour and also hinted that the problems from last season hasn't disappeared completely, ifyou were hoping so

The match against Sevilla exposed the Fault lines at Barcelona in terms of tactics and personal. Koeman needs to fix the same to solve these issues as early as possible. In this podcast we take a deep look into 3 of the main issue affecting Koeman's Barcelona.

Sevilla exposed the folly of limiting Lionel Messi in a false-9 role! Is practically possible to use the false-9 role in the 4-2-3-1 formation, Koeman's preferred choice?

Why Messi as False-9 Experiment should Stop Immediately!

So it all went back to square one for Barcelona, once again! The Euphoria of the Koeman fanboys on the social media lasted two matches, exactly two matches. Now it's been replaced by self-doubts across the internet. The match at times resembled how Barcelona played under Valverde, and that's making a lot of people nervous.

Still, the Koeman fanboys are full out in support. They understand that the match presented serious questions about the Dutchman's tactical acumen, but none of it matters. Right now, they are going after their favourite scapegoat - Lionel Messi. As I explained earlier, even if Messi was the one creating any kind of move, he will be always be blamed this season.

High flying Koeman's Barcelona was brought down to reality by a very sturdy and efficient Sevilla side. In the end, everyone agrees that the 1-1- draw was a just result as both teams showed their pedigree.

After keeping two clean sheets and scoring a ton of goals in their first two matches, Barcelona were reminded of their fragility today when Sevilla was held to a draw at Camp Nou. Luuk de Jong opened the scoring for Sevilla before Coutinho equalizing within minutes.

Both teams failed to add another to the tally, even though they had enough chances. In the end, both teams were equally balanced. Barcelona had the better of possession, but the Sevilla had the better of Shots taken. The differences in all these between the teams were very minute. And that's how well these two teams were balanced!
