So all rumors have been put to rest. Barcelona has signed Martin Braithwaite after the club decided to use 'a never been used clause' in Spanish Federation as an emergency option. This adds the mercurial talent of Braithwaite into the mix, who going by all indication could replicate what Boateng did in Barcelona. That is absolutely nothing!
A lot of people have been relieved seeing the club sign someone. We assumed that the Club has forgotten to get the deal done. Now, this is a huge relief. Setién could be quite relieved as he has one more player in the squad. At least it will make the numbers.

Critics of this management unfairly criticizes them for not planning for anything, and not taking necessary action. The Board has already shown that they knew how to do the business. The terms of contract alone show why this management can't get a thing straight. He is getting a better package than he was getting at Leganés. In the summer once we make the necessary signing (that's a big if) he could be an unwanted member in the squad. But why should Braithwaite even leave? With a contract till the end of the 23-24 season, he can rake in the big bucks. If Braithwaite is not a success at Barcelona, the club could be sharing a significant part of salary even if he moves on Loan.
