FC Barcelona will be looking to move ahead of the pack when they face Valencia away from home tonight. Their hope would be that the Spirit of Wembley would see them past an opponent who is struggling at the moment.
Barcelona Football Club cannot miss the opportunity which the 'turn of circumstances' have presented itself to them. With Real Madrid ending up losing against Alves, who finds themselves third in the table suddenly; Barcelona Football club needs to tighten up and grab three points on offer. Any failure to do so, could see the likes of Sevilla and Atletico Madrid leaping past us on the table.
In past few weeks, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have been doing each other big time favours by not grabbing the gifted oppurtunities. Will Barcelona reciprocate the favour once again this time?
It has to be the Best Time to Visit Mestella
For me, there won't be a better time to visit Estadio de Mestalla than tonight. Last season's serious over-achievers, Valencia have been struggling this season and obviously the presence in UEFA Champions league is complicating things for them. Barcelona returns to League after a brilliant victory at Wembley, the confidence have to be high. Valencia who is lying currently in 16th position should be a cake-walk for this side.
Nothing is more expensive than a missed opportunity. H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
Despite Valnecia's struggled, things won't be that straight forward for Barcelona boys. They have been pretty poor in the last three match in the League and have struggled big time to impress in any of their away matches in the League. The last away match ended in a spectacular defeat at the hands of Leganés. So this team have the ability to screw things up tonight.
Noting but 4-3-3 from Valverde
Don't expect anything revolutionary from Valverde. The victory at Wembley, courtesy of a grand performance from Messi would have given him more confidence about his strategy. It's a fool's strategy and we will be made to pay up sooner or later. So we will see the same line-up which lined up in Wembley. I don't expect any change in personnel.
It's to be seen whether the same performance as at Wembley can be reproduced. Messi starting means he could take us past the finish line, but it is clear for everyone that the work load is too huge for him.
