I did warn you all that this would happen, Despite the repeat of last season's humiliating loss, Valverde has enough backing in the Board, Dressing Room, and Social Media

They all kept quiet for sometime, but then it was natural. If they had dared to even profess their love so soon for Valverde after the 4-0 defeat, they would have been obliterated in social media. So they all waited for that recovery victory against Getfe. And the moment, that is achieved, we now have a flurry of ValverdeStay cry.

I wrote about this two days back, detailing why those hoping for Valverde to leave is living in fool's paradise - Valverde to remain as Barcelona Coach. Sadly I am already being proven right.

The deabte of Messi as GOAT takes a different turn after the 4-0 humiliation by Liverpool. Is he still good to be considered as 'Greatest of All Time'?

Lionel Messi is rightly considered as one of the 'Greatest of All Time' to have played this beautiful game. But in the backdrop of another lackluster performance from his team and himself in Europe, do we need to re-think on considering him as one of the Greatest.

Before Ronaldo fans jump in, this is not a comparison between him and Ronaldo. It is a comparison of Messi to the greatest of the game - Pele, Maradona, Cryuff, Stefano, Platini, Beckenbauer, etc.

Despite all the heroics he has performed over the years, it may be time for Barcelona to make the toughest of decision regarding their Marquee player.

Barcelona Football Club is going through a crisis by it's own standards. The emphasize here is on 'Crisis by it's Standard'. In any othre club winning a domestic double would mean an extremely successful campaign, but not at Barcelona, especially this season.

If we win the Copa del Rey on 25th, how should we judge this season? Will it be considered a success or a failure based on Barca's humiliating Champions League exit?

All the indication coming out of Barcelona points to the possibility of Valverde continuing at helm at Barcelona, at least for one more year.

Ernesto Valverde has been receiving a fair share of stick from Barcelona fans, esepcially in the social media. The immediate reaction after the 4-0 at Anfield was a war cry to sack him. But situations have subsided now heavily and there seems to be a bit of calm in the club despite the social media going bunkers still!

There is a lot of people who believe that he will be fired by the club at the end of the season. But their wishes may not be granted and here is the reason why Valverde could remain as the manager, come next season.

Ivan Rakitic's Presence in the midfield of Barcelona, when it got overrun raises questions about the Croatians ability to control the game.

Ivan Rakitic is in the middle of the storm at Barcelona following the spectacular, but a humiliating loss at Anfield. To an extent, the fans are justified to raise fingers at the Croatian. He was literally 'Missing in Action' on the pitch of Anfield.

With him and Coutinho literally going invisible, Barcelona was reduced to a two-man midfield when the initial needs were for four men. Is there more to the presence of Rakitic in midfield and all those spectacular collapses in midfield?

Despite the historic blunders which have really hurt Barcelona, the President appears reluctant to fire the Manager, Valverde.

Lionell Messi would be the only person who could save this Barcelona side from the current predicament. A predicament which has been brought upon by the actions of an unimaginative, uninspiring, and an average Manager! Ernesto Valverde has proven in a second season in succession that he is not fit to hold the reins at Barcelona.

Like Arsene Wenger recently said, 'No Manager can win a game for their team, it's the players who have to do that. But he can lose the game for them'. Somehow it appears that Wenger had Valverde in mind when making such a historic footballing statement.

Barcelona should ideally look to reinforce their rooster following the pathetic showing at Anfield.

Barcelona managed to be the laughing stock of the entire footballing world with a spineless display at the Anfield. There have been far greater collapses in football history, but the way we collapsed made us the worst of all. The side which had the 'Best Player in the World' looked worse than a second division side.

No side other than us would have given up a sizeable lead like that, especially when the opposition was missing key players. The Manager takes the majority of the blame, but there is a sizeable amount of players who have to take the blame too. Maybe the time for them at the club is over.
