Usually a visit to Mallorca should not give us much trouble, but not this season. Real Mallorca is having one of the most stunning seasons and currently lies at the fourth position. Their home record has been impeccable this season with losing only one of their home games. But Real Madrid, Valencia and Barca has not visited Mallorca. Earlier this season FC Barcelona managed to beat Mallorca comfortably when they visited Camp Nou. Our last visit to Mallorca ended in a defeat, but that should not be a worry as we only send a second string side after securing the title - FC Barcelona Loses First Match as Champions. Barca fans has been handed good news with both Pique and Xavi getting the green signal from the medical team. Guardiola has included both in the squad which will travel to Mallorca - Valdés, Pinto, Márquez, Milito, Pedro, Puyol, Jonathan, Bojan, Touré, Chygrynskiy, Maxwell, Xavi, Jeffren, Alves, Piqué, Iniesta, Keita, Ibrahimovic, Henry, Messi.

Xavi's Return should strengthen Barca Midfield

Milito could be rewarded for the recent performances and may start again with Pique at the centre of defense giving Puyol some rest before Arsenal match. Alves and Maxwell will be sure bet to start. The midfield could see the usual pairing of Xavi, Toure and Iniesta. And Messi, Ibrahmovic and henry should start as the attacking trio. Most of the focus of this match will be on what formation Guardiola employs. One thing is certain, he will not think of the 4-3-1-2 formation, but he may still opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation. But for me that is again a wrong formation as it will cut the attacks from the wings, especially the right. This side is suited well with the 4-3-3 formation. A 4-2-3-1 formation should work if Toure and Keita were picked in the midfield. As far as the match I predict a 3-0 victory ahead of visit to Emirates stadium.

this match will be closely fought. mallorca can cause us problems in the first half if we continue to our two halves style again- playing poorly in the first before raising the game in the second half. this style has seen us suffer a couple of times in our last 4 matches.

Return of Xavi is supposed to lift up the performance of the team. A combination of Xavi, Yaya and Iniesta would suit the night's game ,in case the host team attack us a lot at the beginning. I don't understand why Pep sometimes change the regular formation when every good thing FC Barcelona has gained and is praised for comes from this formation.and at last, I prefer Pedro instead of Henry and Zlatan should quickly be withdrawn from the team if he continues to be as confused as he has recently been.
