Koeman believes the 4-2-3-1 formation to be the iodeal one for Barcelona. In fact, he believes that it's a formation for all seasons! Does such a thing ever exist?
Koeman's belief in the 4-2-3-1 formation was hailed as something revolutionary by the fanboys. Now the reality is slowly taking a bite! People have started questioning whether the formation suits the Catalan side!
People are quite agitated about the reports suggesting that Puig is not in the plans of Koeman. It's strange how people are so naive to not see the obvious. I wrote a couple of posts back, why Riqui Puig will never have any role with Koeman and his 4-2-3-1 formation.
What makes everyone mad is that the Club has suggested Riqui Puig look for another club. This is after all the great promises he has shown, every time he has played. There has been not a single match where he played and we never got excited about him. People are still mad at Setien for not using him towards the end of the season.
And then we are now facing a prospect of him being sold. There were suggestions that he could be loaned out, but the now-disgraced President is more or less interested in selling him. There is a financial angle to it, he needs to fill up a gigantic 250 Million debt hole and Puig's sale may help.
Why Koeman should Use the 3-6-1 formation instead of 4-2-3-1?
Let's be honest, the 4-2-3-1 does not produce the best out of talents we have in the squad. It doesn't even allow us to use the best available. If you are looking for a disaster performance, then 4-2-3-1 could help.
The solution as mentioned in the video, may lie with 3-6-1 formation. This is a formation which plugs a lot of holes in Barcelona and it also provides a new angle in the attack. But will Koeman ever listen?
