Messi Surrounded by Malaga Players

- Lionel Messi Dancing through Malaga Players -

Barcelona Futball Club would be looking to pile the pressure on Real Madrid and also Atletico Madrid when Malaga visits Camp Nou this Saturday. The clash between FC Barcelona and Malaga takes place four hours before the Madrid derby at Vicente Calderón stadium. A victory over Malaga will take Barca to the top of the League, may be temporarily; but it should put immense pressure on current league leaders who will be visiting the cross city rivals. Real Madrid who has not been exactly on fire should have enough to worry with their visit to Atlecto's stadium; we could just add to that with a good result against Malaga. As per the current La Liga odds FC Barcelona is favourite to defend their title amid not so great Home performances this season. This is mainly because other title contenders ain't igniting the stage on fire either.

FC Barcelona fans normally gets extremely nervous after an international break; to an extent more nervous that Clasico time. That's simply because some of the worst performance from the Barca team has come immediately after an international break. Malaga's visit to Camp Nou is the percet start after an international outing for many players in that sense. Malaga has the third worst record on the road in La Liga and is yet to score a victory away from home. Even though Barca's home record this season has not been that great; they are expected to win comfortably against this opponent. Regardless of their away form woes, Malaga always is a formidable force for Barca to face even at home. They currently lies 10th in La Liga; thanks to their amazing home record (which is incidentally better than ours).

Barca players went into the break after a brilliant 2-1 victory away from home at Sevilla. The Lionel Messi inspired victory once again confirms Barca as the firm favourite to retain the title. More or less it looks like this season's La Liga winner will be decided by who performs better away from home. Lionel Messi may have gone to the break with all the accolades showering home; but it wasn't a rather happy international break so far having faced a 3-0 destruction by Neymar and Company. He would be looking to make amends tonight against Columbia which has become quite crucial. Regardless of the results of the qualification campaign Messi would be eager to start. But the question would be whether Luis Enrique would want his star man to start especially considering the midweek visit to Celtic in Europe.

One has to admit that Enrique will be tempted to start with his favourite trio of Messi, Neymar and Saurez; especially looking at the Madrid derby following. And if he does I would admit it would be a very vice decision. Iniesta will be unavailable till the end of this month, that means one of the youngster will be given a chance to perform in that midfield. Looking at his performance against Sevilla Dennis Saurez should be the first choice to join Busquets and Rakitic. In defense we have little choices left but still I Alba being rested with Digne forming alliance with Mascherano, Umtiti and Sergi Roberto.
