Messi Celebrating against Celtic

- Messi and Barca Players celebrating against Celtic at Camp Nou -

Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes.Oscar Wilde

Celtic may feel they are hard done with the timing of this clash. After the 7-0 drubbing away at Camp Nou in the first match of the group, Celtic may have been hoping for a bit easier life when Barcelona football club comes visiting. But this could be quite tricky as Barca will be attempting to correct the slip ups they had both in La Liga and UEFA Champions League. It's all stacked up against Celtic at the moment - Barca had a drubbing at the hands of Manchester City in the last match in the Group; topping the group also will be a risk if they slip up against Celtic; the slip up in La Liga this weekend would demand a perfect answer from the Catalonia side; Messi who has scored in all matches in which he has played in Europe so far, who is the leading scorer in Champions League this season, he definitely wants to continue that start and he is also frustrated not to have played in the weekend; that means he is rested, so is Luis Saurez - the odds are stacked pretty badly against Celtic.

It would be a mistake to write off Celtic just like that; it would be a terrible mistake if the Barca players think that this match is won before its started. That kind of complacency will put Barca's hope of topping the group at risk. Celtic Champions League matches are quite interesting; they have performed well when the odds are stacked up against them. After the 7-0 drubbing at Camp Nou, everyone expected them to simply collapse against Manchester City; but they surprised everyone; once again they disappointed everyone with a 2-0 home loss to Borussia M'gladbach but surprised everyone with an away win. So writing them off will be foolhardy. They could surprise you like anything especially at home.

With the trip to Glasgow Barca starts a series of tough matches - this one first, followed by a trip to San Sebastian stadium to play an hot firing Real Sociedad, followed by a trip to face Hercules in Copa and then the ultimate the Clasico at the Camp Nou. There won't be too much to guess in terms of the starting line up, the only point of confusion is who will start with Rakitic. Will Dennis Saurez get another chance or will it be Gomes. I hope it is Dennis Saurez who will start with Rakitic and Busquets. Messi, Neymar and Saurez should form the usual forward line-up. In defense we should have Pique, Mascherano, Roberto and Alba. After the disappointing result against City and also against Malaga this weekend we may need a hell of a result and performance to shake all those disappointment off.
