These Two Midfielders Must be Sold by Barcelona this Summer!

The summer re-shuffle is going to be extremely important in deciding which way Barcelona turn, not only for the next couple of years. Maybe even for the next decade.

There is already much anticipation about how Barcelona will react in the coming summer transfer market. The squad needs immediate reinforcement, and that too in almost all roles and positions. Apart from Messi and Ter Stegan, no one is sure to continue the next season.

It still needs to know whether this Board is good enough to make those transfers happen. So far we haven't seen anything that makes us confident of them getting things done. The usual pursuit of highly improbable targets is on, and is guaranteed to end the same way as last season!

Stalemate against Sevilla hurt Barcelona in Title Pursuit

Barcelona was held to a goalless draw against Sevilla. Maybe one can say, the Catalans were extremely lucky to even come back with a point.

The clash between the first placed and third-placed team in La Liga ended in a stalemate. The draw still kept Barcelona at top of the League, but Barcelona's fate in the League may have been taken out of their hands. Real Madrid who plays tomorrow night will have a chance to move back to the League summit!

The performance showcased at the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium raises a lot of questions about the team, especially about their ability to withstand such a heavy schedule, which is being played out.

Has Griezmann Done Enough to Deserve being a regular Starter in Barcelona?

Griezmann has done precious little to affect the game in Barcelona after his arrival in summer. Does he deserve to be in the starting eleven? Maybe it's just the first season settling issues, Maybe Not!

Antoine Griezmann has managed to divide the Cules into two sections with his performance so far this season. There is one section that truly believes that he has been good so far and will get better with every match he plays. And then there is the other that believes he needs to be eased slowly into the team so that he will start learning Barcelona way gradually.

In either case, all fans are united in the belief that Griezmann was the perfect and most suited signing we did last summer. No one doubts his caliber. The only doubt is whether the expectation that he will be a grand success in his first season is fair to the Frenchman or not.
