FC Barcelona moved back to the top of the League after the victory against Villareal at the Camp Nou. Gerard Pique put Barca in front in the first half. Carles Alena completed the scoreline after scoring his first La Liga goal at Camp Nou.

Catch the Highlights below:

FC Barcelona Secured a Hard-fought 2-0 victory over Villareal at the Camp Nou. But t the three points should not mask the Problems within Barcelona Football Club.

FC Barcelona - 2 | Villareal - 0

Barcelona regained the top spot in La Liga last night with a very tough and uncharacteristic 2-0 victory over Villareal at the Camp Nou. May be defining it as uncharacteristic masks the reality; we have been playing more or less the same way for majority of this season, barring a wonderful two week stretch. In yet another see-saw weekend, Barcelona was able to snatch the top spot from Sevilla after Alaves held Sevilla to a draw.

Saying Alaves held Sevilla to a draw is unfair on Alaves, but still, Sevilla is always the better side. Such has been this season, where the bigger teams have been struggling with their performances and average sides have been punching above their weight. This week was no exception, Real Madrid and Barcelona won but wasn't any convincing; Atletico and Sevilla were held to draw and they weren't convincing either.

FC Barcelona Produced one of the worst performances of this season so far, going down 4-3 to Real Betis at home. It coincided with the return of Lionel Messi, Is there any more to read in that?

Real Betis destroy Barcelona at the Camp Nou

Sometimes we cry a lot about how statistics skew up the actual picture a lot, especially when it's against us. Somehow after the conclusion of last night's match against Real Betis, I somehow had those same feeling. The 4-3 scoreline in favour of Real Betis never describe what transpired on the field of Camp Nou. It was much worse, Barcelona don't have any right to being only a goal away from Real Betis.

We looked absolutely disjointed and Real Betis, was taking us apart like we were some second division side. After all the success in recent weeks, Barcelona fans and players were brought down to earth by a display, that can be only be described as shambolic. To make it worse, it happened on the night Messi made his come back.
