Barca vs Real Soceidad Preview | Barca faces the First Big test of 2018-19 La Liga Season

Barca will be traveling to Anoeta in their first major test. Visit to Anoeta has been a struggle in recent occasions, and there is a high chance that we may be in for the same treatment.

Barcelona Football Club will be visiting Estadio Municipal de Anoeta to face Real Sociedad tomorrow in what will be their first major test of La Liga 2018-19 season. FC Barcelona has been pretty lucky with the run of fixture so far, especially having to face three of the easier teams in the start. Real Sociedad away visit will give a clear picture of the capability of this team and how much the absence of Iniesta is going to affect us this season.

If you consider our record from 2010 onwards, we managed to win at Anoeta only one; that was in last season. Last season we managed to comeback from 2-0 down to win 4-2 against Real Sociedad at their home. That match was extremely even and the difference was the clinical finishing of our players. A similar result will be wonderful for Barca.

Why Serena Williams US Open Tantrums are So Cheap and Sets a Really Bad Example?

Serena Williams may have succeeded in spinning the tantrum she displayed in US Open final into a Woman's Rights Issue. But despite her fans and supporters clamoring, one cannot deny the fact that her conduct in this incident both on the field and off the field has been a disgrace to the 'Great Champion' she actually is!

Usually I don't write about anything other than Football in this Blog. Most of the articles will be related to FC Barcelona or at the least related to Football. But I felt a deep urge to write about the recent controversy surrounding Serena Williams about her actions in this year's US Open Final. Many of her fans and supporters have felt that the referee, Carlos Ramos have wronged Serena Williams and took from her the chance to script another memorable come-back triumph.

Serena Williams smartly played the 'Gender' and the 'Mother' card around the issue, and that too immediately. Such a characterization of the issue meant that, those who wanted to speak against her were literally are afraid of being termed a 'Racist'. Which means a host of Greats and Big names in sports have already backed Serena Williams in the entire episode. The Women's Tennis Association and the US Tennis Association both have backed Serena without looking at the merit of the case; one has to wonder what did the referee did wrong in their eyes?

FC Barcelona Fixtures : September 2018 - Attention Turns to Champions League

September will see FC Barcelona starting their UEFA Champiosn League campaign against PSV at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona Football Club has made a great start in terms of result to the busy Barcelona FC September Fixture schedule with the 8-2 trouncing of Huesca at home. This season the paramount focus will be on UEFA Champions League after repeated failures of previous couple of seasons. September Barcelona FC Fixture list sees us starting our Champions league Campaign at Home against PSV. And that will be the Marquee game for September.
