With Bartomeu confirming the continuation of Valverde, Barcelona is looking for more humiliation in Europe. What is behind this sinister move, is it done to drive away non-catalan fans?

A 4-0 drubbing at the hads of Liverpool at Anfield constitutes a great season as per Barcelona's current President, Josep Maria Bartomeu. This happens to all clubs who are governed by mediocre people like ours. In any other scenario, even if he wants to retain Valverde, he would have put it in some polished way. But this guy has the audacity to call this season a 'magnificent season’

Just to remind us all, we did win the League courtesy of one guy and the main rival playing like shit. And we failed in spectacular fashion in Champions League, a competition which was the No.1 priority for the Club (maybe only the Club Captain). How badly we wish that Real Madrid somehow reached the final and win it! Had that the case, the reaction would have been different.

There is no doubt that Alba was one of the best performers in the season, but Is he a liability against Bigger European teams?

Jordi Alba's performance in this season has never been called into question! There was no need to be. If we try to rank the second best player of the side - he would have come on top hands down. His understanding with Lionel Messi was telepathic for most of the season barring the very end.

Many times we constantly cried for a similar guy on the right. That was his impact on the left side of the pitch. But one night at the Anfield, and here we are really questioning his future at Barcelona. Such was the disaster he endured against Liverpool - he dragged himself and his team along with him with his mistakes.

With the impending arrival of Griezemann, Barcelona board is planning to give Valverde one more chance. Is that the right move?

Antoine Griezmann's impending arrival at Barcelona is the hottest topic in footballing circles now. His signing is pretty much expected and will be completed in the first week of the transfer windo itself. Barcelona is expected to trigger the release clause, and Atletico also confirmed that the paleyr will leave.

The only thing to know is whether some club like Real Madrid or PSG intent to hijack the deal. As per the latest reports emerging from France and Madrid, the player has set his sight on joining Barcelona. He is eager to play alongside Lionel Messi and try to win that elusive Champions League.
