As widely expected FC Barcelona made short work of French Champions Paris Saint-Germain F.C with a routine 2-0 victory at the Camp Nou. Two well taken strike from Brazilian Neymar completed the formalities; and it was mere formalities after a 3-1 victory in Paris last week. After seeing off PSG Barca now joins ex-Coach Guardiola managed Bayern Munich in the semi-final. The rest of the participants will come from tonight's equally poised semi-final and would be either one of Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid and Juventus or Monaco. With this success Barca have once again made it to the semi-final after going out at this stage last season against Atletico Madrid.

The match in reality was more or less a formality. Those who consider otherwise definitely have to be crazy. The two goal lead and the three away goal gave Barca too much of leverage coming into the the game. The only reasonable chance for PSG to knock out Barca was to go for a 3-0 win. Now that's easily said than done at the Camp Nou. We always score at the Camp Nou, that mean if we score one PSG needs to score four so on. That's an impossible task. But still PSG with Ibrahimovic back would have tried to see whether it is possible to achieve a 3-0 victory. That hope was nipped in bud by technically Neymar but really Iniesta.

Iniesta has been so off colour this season, that some people started to wonder whether he is aging quickly than other players. The form has been pretty inconsistent. But this match showed why he is so important and why we miss so much. Neymar might have opened the scoring but that all due to Iniesta. He received the ball deep in his own half, set on a brilliant run skipping past three players and slipping the ball to Neymar past a completely baffled David Luiz. To be fair Neymar's first touch was brilliant and the strike after rounding off the keeper like it was some kind of child's play was excellent; but then a player of that caliber is expected to finish those perfectly gifted chances.

The second goal came around twenty minutes after the first one, this time Dani Alves playing the provider role to Neymar. Neymar who slipped past David Luiz (who for some reason didn't knew the presence of his Brazilian captain ) headed home from a brilliant cross from Alves. Alves who missed the first leg was pretty much exceptional in the second leg. The rest of the match went with not much fan fare with Barca ensuring that PSG does not get a sniff of the game nor the ball.
