Luis Saurez was the hero of the night when he created two goals which helped Barca to overcome a 1-0 deficit. We were in course for a third consecutive defeat until Saurez turned the creator in chief. The beneficiary of his creativity was Neymar who scored the equaliser and Alba who put Barca in the lead. As expected Neymar and Saurez started from bench against Almeria. In their absence Munir, Pedro partnered Messi up front. Rafinha, Rakitic and Busquets formed the midfield trio. Adriano, Mascherano, Bartra and Alba formed the defense with Bravo taking his usual spot under goal.
The game started at a slow pace with Almeria trying their best to stop us. In the 10th minute Messi who was seeking the record breaking goal in league was denied by the keeper and then defenders. Honestly Almeria was creating a bit of trouble for us than expected. In the 15th minute they won a free kick just outside our box, the delivery was brilliant unfortunately (fortunately for us) it was a bit far from the diving striker's head. In the 22nd minute a quick counter saw Almeria open up our defense but Bravo was at hand to prevent any casualty. In the 28th minute Rakitic saw his header cleared off the line and from the rebound Messi saw his header strike the cross bar. In the 37th minute Almeria took the lead after Messi lost the ball after they dispossessed Messi at the edge of the box. To blame Messi for the goal is idiotic as it can as he lost the ball at the edge of the box and the quick counter and Thievy's pace simply destroyed our defense and left Bravo completely helpless. There wasn't anymore action in the half and it was undeniable that we need a complete change in attitude to prevent a third consecutive loss in the league.
As expected Luis Enrique made a double substitution with Neymar and Saurez for Pedro and Munir respectively. In the 55th minute Busquets slashed the ball wide off the post. In the 60th minute Adriano's dangerous cross from the right was cleared by the defense for a corner. From the resulting corner Luis Saurez unleashed a tremendous overhead kick, unfortunately it struck the cross bar. In the 66th minute Luis Enrique threw in Xavi in to the mix with drawing Busquets. In the 72nd minute the relentless pressure Barca was putting ahd the desirable effect with Neyar finishing off from a brilliant Saurez cross. In the 79th minute Saurez flashed a shot agonising wide off the far post. In the 79th minute Messi almost gave us the lead but his header hit the bar after beating the keeper. In the 82nd minute Barca eventually took the lead through Jordi Alba once again from a beautiful cross from Luis Saurez.
