Brazilian International, Philippe Coutinho will join Barca for a whooping €160 Million Euros. This is the second highest Transfer fee in International Football History and Now the Highest Three transfers all have involved FC Barcelona.

FC Barcelona and Liverpool has agreed on the signing of Philippe Coutinho for a whooping sum of 160 Million Euros

Barca Futbol Club have successfully concluded the second highest transfer in footballing history by agreeing with Liverpool for signing Philippe Coutinho. The total cost which FC Barcelona will incur is in the range of £142 Million Pounds. FC Barcelona will be paying around £106 Million Pounds for the service of Brazilian with another £36 Million as performance/appearance linked; which should be easily met. Once this transfer is concluded FC Barcelona will be involved in all three highest transfer in history so far - Neymar, Coutinho and Dembele, something which has never happened earlier.

Coutinho is a great player, just like there are many other great players . Valverde, Barca Manager

Barca signs Coutinho from Liverpool after a very long Pursuit

With the signing of Coutinho the Barca management would be relieved as they would have clearly put the Neymar transfer behind them. There was immense pressure on them to make a statement of sort with a huge signing and now with both Dembele and Coutinho captured they would be considering the job well done. With Coutinho coming into the mix Barca's midfield have been strengthened very much. The very fact that Liverpool was not in any mood to let go off their Best Player in the Squad made the Philippe Coutoinho signing very difficult. Liverpool coach kind of mentioned his disappointment in the statement he made soon after Barca confimring the deal.

I can tell the Liverpool supporters that we, as a club, have done everything within our means to convince Coutinho that remaining part of LFC was as attractive as moving to Spain, but he is 100 per cent certain his future – and that of his family – belongs at Barcelona. Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool Manager

Coutinho has already landed in Barcelona with his ex-Liverpool mate Luis Saurez picking him from the airport. Barca will be a very familiar setup with his former team mate Luis Saurez and his Brazilian team mate Paulinho in the squad. And it's already reported that he will be staying in the same locality with Messi and Saurez as neighbors. He is expected to be at the Camp Nou in today's Levante match. Not sure when he will complete medical and when his official presentation will happen.

With Coutinho being Champions League cup tied, Valverde will not have his service in Europe. So majorly he will be featuring more in La Liga and Copa del Rey matches; which means Valverde get more chance to rest Iniesta in La Liga. It also gives the coach a better option to try instead of Rakitic. How will it impact the future of Barca's youngsters will be the question on everyone's mind now! We have to wait and watch how things evolve in the summer transfer market.
