FC Barcelona faces Valencia in the first leg of Copa Del Rey Semi-Final at the Camp Nou on Friday night.

FC Barcelona is all set to face Valencia on Friday in the first leg of Copa del Rey semi-Final 2017-18

FC Barcelona will be facing Valencia FC tomorrow night in the first leg of Copa Del Rey Semi-Final tie at the Camp Nou. When the draw was made everyone agreed this was was the toughest draw possible for Barca. Not only we have to play Valencia but we have to play the second leg at Estadio de Mestalla. Valencia lies currently in 3rd position in the League and will present a huge challenge for Barca to overcome. Both the teams come to this match following contrasting results in league. FC Barcelona managed to continue their winning run in league but Valencia was thrashed 4-1 at home by Real Madrid. In both the games the scoreline never gave the clear picture; Valencia wasn't that bad against Real Madrid and Barca weren't that great against Alaves!

FC Barcelona Needs to Win the First legt against Valencia

FC Barcelona have faced Valencia once in the league so far and in that match despite producing one of the finest display Barca ended drawing the game. In that backdrop, despite Valencia's defensive fragilities shown against Real Madrid we may have to consider this match as a do-or-die scenario. A victory in the first leg will make life easier when visiting Mestalla next week; especially considering that the ground has been always tough place for us to visit. A draw or loss will kind of put us in the back foot and that will make for an extremely nervy second half.

Valverde is expected to line-up it's strongest eleven against Valencia at Camp Nou tomorrow. The only change has to be Cillessen coming in for Ter Stegan. In defense we should see Alba, Pique, Umtiti and Roberto. We should see a four men midfield with Paulinho, Rakitic, Busquets and Iniesta. Up front we should have Lionel Messi and Luis Saurez.

Against Valencia the most important factor will be how we use the wings; especially the left where Iniesta and Alba roam linking with Messi in center. That will decide whether we will dominate tomorrow night's encounter. the 4-1 undeserved thrashing at the hands of real Madrid would be playing in the Valencia players mind and that we need to use to our advantage. We need to start big in this game and if we manage to do that we will be easily able to take a sizable advantage to the second leg.
